Hello all and welcome to the October edition of the

Mid Peninsula Musclecar club's newsletter.

Hello all and welcome to the October issue of the Mid peninsula Muscle car club's 2009 newsletter. The car show year is winding down quickly but we still have a few of the best events of the year still ahead in October.

First off as always you should try to take a look at some of the recent outings we have attended since our last update:

OK now next Sunday October 4Th  is the Horses to Horsepower car show held at Sequoia High School in Redwood City, Ca.  As always i will be staying over night if anyone wants to leave their car on Saturday and i will keep an eye on it.

We will be holding a BBQ meet and greet MPM tent set up party on Saturday night starting at 5:00PM. So everyone is invited to stop by and have some dinner with us. If you want to please bring some type of side dish and drink to share. This year we are doing a "surprise" main meal on the BBQ. I guarantee it will be delicious!

So see you on Saturday, Sunday or maybe both days!!!

The next Sunday October 11Th is probably the most fun car show of the year. Jimmy's old thyme picnic in Golden Gate Park (Speedway Meadows area)  is a must do!
There is at the very least 1000+ cars, trucks and other vehicles in attendance. So if you are planning to attend in a car the fee has been raised to $30 per entry, but as always  you can walk in for free.

Please note  there will be NO FOOD sold by vendors this year so you MUST bring all your own food and drink.

Also this year we NOT be serving food like we usually do at the MPM tent  so keep that in mind too. I will have snacks available but that is all. We are redirecting our efforts in making the MPM tent more fun and less work for all of us.

So please stop by the MPM tent and if all goes according to plan you will be thrilled by what we have in store this year as our theme.

Let me say the 70's will live again at Jimmy's 2009 picnic!!

October 18Th is another fun event being held at the South San Francisco ELKS Lodge #2091. This is a great way to have a fun day and help support the fine work of the Elks charities. The cost is $30 for pre-entry and $35 day of show. You can get more info by calling 650 589 4030.

1973 Road Runner clone For Sale. A couple of years ago I put a Stroker 402 engine
http://www.wyckoffchryslerparts.com/402macren435.html
2 years ago. The car is ONLY driver in town for the noise effect. The engine now cost $13,000. Electronic cut-outs installed a year ago. http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/index.php
Paid over $500 for the cut-outs and electronic in-car controller.

Car is black with Road Runner decals. Hood says 340 even though it has a 402 installed.

Car is in good condition. I have wanted to replace the steering and brakes, just haven't had the time to do any this. I would like someone who can appreicate the car and complete the work. I haven't ordered the parts or started the work, so the car is still driveable.

I would like to get $15,000 for the car. I have a supply of oil, some part parts, and whatever else goes with the car. Please serious inquires only.
